A Teen Wolf Crossover Big Bang

So, this morning my tumblr was full of SuperWolf and of a discussion about TW characters's potential deamons. And ever since I started working on my recast_bb I've been thinking about this. With the two "regular" TW bangs coming to an end soon, I sort of want to organize a Teen Wolf crossover bang (that would allow fusions and RPF crossovers). Because I love love love the fanarts and gifsets and occasional snippets I see for these things on tumblr, but there aren't that many fics that actually really go for it.

But. I remember how much work it is to organize a bang, and it was for a small corner of fandom. I remember how much people can suck, or be stupid, or just be a pain, even if it's just one or two out of fifty. And as much as I was vaguely known in the Gabriel corner of SPN fandom, I am absolutely no one for TW fandom and it scares the crap out of me.

But guys, I really want this, and if nobody smacks me over the head in time I just might end up doing it.

Somethimes, I wonder what I'm doing with my life when I actually know people doing things like this with theirs...


This is a work-in-progress orchestral mock-up of a three movement piece I am working on at the moment, which is to be performed by a chamber orchestra from Geneva, Switzerland in June 2013.

I know, we're still in early November and it pains me to already be thinking about Christmas (I usually don't until after my birthday on Nov 25th), but I'm vaguely thinking of making/drawing/doing something vaguely artistic on my Christmas cards this year, if I have the time, so I guess I'd better start early.

If you'd like a card, drop me your adress in the comments (they will be screened). I already have some of you guys's adresses, but it makes things so easier to have them all in one place, so indulge me? :P

Also, if you don't celebrate Christmas and would like your card to have another greeting on it (like Merry Yule/Hanukkah/End of Year/whatever else), let me know! ;)

Since morganoconner is very busy with NaNo, I need your help, guys. *bats eyelashes. I need betas for two Derek/Stiles fics.

One is for tw_holidays, so I can't tell you much in public, but the fic is finished and a little bit over 10k and it's really fun! I need to submit the final version on the 20th at the latest, so that's in two weeks, and I really want a native speaker to have a look at it, especially since, you know, it's a fic written for someone. I can PM you the details of the fic if you think you might help out.

The other one can wait a little bit more, but it's a big bang so the rules say it has to be beta-ed. Final drafts are due on December 10th, so that would leave the beta plenty of time! The fic is 18k, and it's about a powerswap between Derek and Stiles: Derek becomes human and Stiles becomes an Alpha werewolf. There is epicness and BAMF!Stiles and I really, really like how everything turned out, and I think you guys will like it too!

So, I remember vaguely reading somewhere about a Canadian version of Primeval, so when I saw "Primeval: New Wold" on eztv I figured I'd check it out, just because, you know, Dinosaurs. I'm so glad this isn't a reboot but an actual spin-off though! And it has Niall Matter as a lead! Oh, my baby, I fell in love with you the first time Zane showed up in Eureka, and now you're running around chasing dinosaurs, I'm so proud of you! *pets him*

Also, we get to see Andrew Lee Potts as a guest star in the first episode, and he's being all kinds of adorable and badass at the same time, as only he can do.

To be honest, I'd probably still atch it even if it was boring, just because Niall and dinosaurs, but I actually think it's not bad at all. I like the way it's link to the UK show but not completely, I kind of like the characters, and I'm gonna use a cut before I go into spoiler territory. Btw, if you haven't seen the British show I think you can probably still watch the US one. Probably.

In conclusion, yes Primeval NW, I'll be watching you, and I hope I'll be enjoying you, because really watching people run around trying to hide the dinosaur threat is always fun. I has a happy. :)

Remember how I was going to write 5 2k Christmas-y fics for the Mini Bang option of tnwolfsuperbang? Yeah, that's not happening anymore. You know way? Because the deadline isn't December 6th anymore but November 20th. Granted, they made the change in the timeline over two months ago, but they only announced it on tumblr. Back in August I didn't have a tumblr acount, plus let's be real, most people don't always catch up on their dash so I can't be the only one who missed that announcement.

I know they've said that they were mostly tumblr-based, but really? It would have take three seconds to copy-and-paste the entry to the comm, so that LJ-ers could actually know what's going on! I guess if I scrambled and rushed both my exchange fic and the ficlets for the bang I could make it, but I don't want to. I really don't. Because I think that's pretty rude.


So! That means that in November, I'll be finishing my exchange fic, which I'm really enjoying writing, I'll be translating a novel for Dreamspinner, and I'll probably write more of the Winter Retreat series, which I'm happy about, actually. Okay then. I can go edit my list of things to do.


Edit: Well, at least the mods were really nice about it when I pointed out to them that they kind of fucked up, and recognized that they probably should have posted something on the comm. Still dn't think I'm going to write it anymore because honestly, time, but it's nice to see people who can admit when they somewhat messed up.

If that new Friend's page style is forced on us at any point without an opt-out, I'll be moving to DW, however sad that would make me. I sincerly doubt I'll be the only one.

It's almost November and a few of my friends are going to do NaNoWriMo. As usual, I signed u for a lot of things, completely forgetting about NaNo, so there's no way I'm going to do it. However, the French LJ-ers are doing a mini-NaNo thing where all that counts is your wordcount, so you can work on however many projects you want (and the word count is 25'000, not 50'000). So I'll be doing that, to keep me going.

I have a couple of things that are done and that I'm waiting to post (My zombie fic for the spook_me ficathon, things for the French Halloween exchange) and I posted my Peter/Isaac fic yesterday and so far I've had great responses to it! :D But I still have quite a bit of work ahead.

Alpha Stiles
(This is not its title. God, I need a title.) So this was supposed to be my tnwolfsuperbang, but it definitely won't reach 20k, so it means I have until November 5th to finish it if I want to have it count for teenwolf_bb. This is my top priority as of today.

Secret fic
I wish I could tell you about the fic I'm writing for tw_holidays, because I really like the start of it and I have tones of ideas for the rest! Deadline is November 20th, so as soon as I'm finished with Alpha Stiles I'll get back to working on it.

I just signed a contract to translate a 100k novel by mid-January. So yeah, there's that.)

Christmas Series
Depending on when I finish my exchange fic exactly and if I have the time between Uni and work and so on, I'm going to try and do the mni bang version of tnwolfsuperbang, aka 5 fics of minimum 2000 words each. What I have in mind is to have each focuse on one pairing (Derek/Stiles and Lydia/Jackson are the only ones I'm sure about so far, and I'm thinking of Scott/Isaac or Scott/Allison or Peter/Isaac or Peter/Melissa or Sheriff/Melissa or Chris/Sheriff...) and have them all get together to celebrate Christmas in the last one. As I said, that's if I have the time, since that would be due on December 6th. >.>

I have a lovely artist for my undeadbigbang, and I'm curious and excited to see what she comes up with. <3 Unless changes are made to the schedule, we'll be posting on the 23rd. :D

I need to update my to-do list with a few things. I think I've changed my mind, today will be a writing day, and Sunday (and probably part of Monday) will be work-for-Uni days, because I really feel like writing. I need to figure out where my Spook Me story is going (and if it has a happy ending or not).

I'm also vaguely considering signing up for NaNo, without the intent to actually write 50k, but so I can meet fellow writers in my city and have some fun. Hey, can I "use" NaNo to work on a translation, or does that not really count? 'Cause by November I'll have a new assignment for Dreamspinner.

Art Claims at undeadbigbang have been up for ten hours now. My fic hasn't been claimed yet, though it's far from being the only one. However, the fact that it's a rare pairing and for a mulfandom big bang probably doesn't help. I'm going to be biting my nails until the thing is done.

Half of the writing time for the Spook Me ficathon has passed already, I should really get back to working on that. Alternatively, I haven't done anything for the farce_friandise Halloween exchange for the French fandom yet. I should get on that too.

But not today. This afternoon, I'm moving my ass to Starbucks, purposefully leaving my heaphones home so I'm not tempted to watch last night's episodes of Supernatural or Arrow instead, and I'll be proof-reading the prologue of the physics book we're translating as a group project at uni. Then, either when i'm finished or when I need a break from checking up terminology, I'll be editing the novel I translated earlier this year, since it's back from proof-reading.

Tomorrow, I won't be writing either, I'll be working on translations due for uni classes, and on Saturday we have the family over for my Mom's and my niece's birthdays. And at some point during all this I'll probably have to fit in a trip to the maternity, because it seems they're going to have to provoke my sister-in-law's birthing (they're worried because the baby is too small and there apparently isn't quite enough amniotic fluid).

So, all in all, I doubt I'll get any more writing done until Sunday, and even then I'll probably split my day with editing. So yeah, a lot of work ahead of me and not that much time left. I'll probably put my fic for the tw_holidays exchange on the backburner for now, which is a pity because I was really motived to work on it, but you know, time.

I know there's quite a few of you who really like hurt/comfort and rescue fics, so I thought you'd like to know about this. If I have the time I'll probably try to play over there a little. ^^

No, really, I do.

I've signed up to write a Teen Wolf Hogwarts!AU fic for recast_bb. The wordcount is low (8k) and the deadline is way after all the oher stuff I already have going on (mid-February for the rough draft), and really, I've seen too much werewolves-at-Hogwarts gorgeous art. I have no clue what the story's gonna be about, possibly some none-plotty relationship stuff, but then plot seems to have a way to creep up on me, so who knows.
